The movie starts off with Kyon waking up. Nothing special here.
I left the subs in there, maybe you can see what the hell is going on better.
Kyon's little sister (UNNAMED) goes to wake him up. If I were the cat I'd be fuckin' pissed.
Back in school, Kyon is being angsty again.
"GET OUTA MY WAY, SIDE-CHARACTER"
There's Yuki. This half is just the prologue.
Opening.. Theme ._.
Kyon's heater is invaded.
During this bit the rest of the characters come in etc.
Haruhi comes in with the idea of a hot-pot Christmas party. IN THEIR CLUB ROOM.
MTE, KYON.
I didn't exactly take screenshots of everything, so I'll be missing some stuffs.
Itsuki and Kyon step outside while Mikuru transforms into Santa.
They're discussing Haruhi's ability to create closed spaces when she's sad.
(I can't explain everything so when you don't get it look at the pictures!)
Lucky day! PANTY SHOT WIN.
Itsuki you suck at picking up chicks.
Setting change, where you see Taniguchi (best side-character) talking to Kyon about their Christmas plans. He got a date.
Excited kick.
Kyon forgot how to kick. This seems like a deja-vu for me.
<Meat>
Back to the clubroom.
Lol. Kyon goes to get tinsel because they don't have enough to deco ):.
The next morning Taniguchi is suddenly really sick. Kyon doesn't mind.
The plague hits the school. Haruhi isn't there. Kyon realizes something serious happened between yesterday and today. Then while he's having lunch...
Guys, how would you feel if your attempted murderer who you saw get OBLITERATED, appeared in your class saying that they sat right behind you?
WTF U'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO EXIST!! Σ(゜д゜;)
Haruhi don't exist no more.
BE AFRAID.
Here's a gap after this, Kyon goes around the school and finds out that Koizumi
including his WHOLE CLASSROOM, has disappeared. In desperation he searches for Mikuru, hoping his brain hasn't gone weird.
Neither of them recognize him.
He gets threatened by the same girl he greeted 2 days ago ):.
His last hope is Yuki in the clubroom so he goes there.
He finds Yuki and tries to rape shake sense into her. To think this girl was once an emotionless AI. This was the best part sersly.
Yuki invites him to join the literary club. (Yes, it's real, Kirsty)
I'm going to slow down on the pictures now since I don't seem to be moving very fast with this. Basically, to this point, everything has changed from yesterday. The people he wants to see either aren't there, or don't even know him. He's beginning to think that he's in an alternate universe. And who else would do something like this? Haruhi, right?
As he desperately searches for clues as to why or what exactly happened, he finds a bookmark in the same book Yuki gave him the year before.

Program run condition: collect keys. Deadline: 2 days. |
He realizes that Yuki has left him an option to perhaps return to the original world. Kyon searches the clubroom for other clues but he finds none.
Kyon walks Yuki home. VERY. AWKWARDLY. And we realize just how bold this quiet Yuki is. She invites him, a stranger, into her house. While at her house, he realizes that she lives in the same apartment as his attempted murderer (the blue-haired chick) and they are on close terms. At this point I think you actually have to have understood the past 3 novels. Kyon goes home.
The next day in class Kyon goes batshit mad when Taniguchi says that he knew Haruhi in middle school and that she goes to the neighbouring highschool, now co-ed in their
alternate universe. That figured, Kyon runs out of class to look for Haruhi.
When he arrives at the school, he finds her with Itsuki and is happy enough to piss his pants. However, Haruhi just sees him as some freak that just knows her name.
Kyon reveals their only connection.. Which comes from 3 years ago when she was in middle school. Haruhi is shocked! "Time-traveller!" is maybe what she's thinking. She goes to interrogate him with Itsuki, the normal dude.
Itsuki, being the smartfag he is, provides answers as to why this might've happened, after the situation is explained. The left picture shows that Kyon has entered an alternate universe, but where has his other self gone? The right shows that everything in the world has changed, the exception being Kyon. The answer is actually a mixture of both.
With this, Haruhi is all riled up and wants to meet Yuki and Mikuru.
Having gathered everyone in the SOS brigade room/literature clubroom, Haruhi decides to make an SOS club just like the one in the world Kyon talked about. WHEN THE COMPUTER SUDDENLY TURNS ON. OMFG POLTERGEIST!?
Turns out this is the key. Yuki from the alternate world has set up a way to return Kyon to the original world, that is if he wants to, all he has to do is click the enter button.
Kyon enters his real world now and finds himself.. In the middle of summer 3 years ago. This again has to do with the other books. I'll try not to bring those in lol.
He goes to Yuki for help and she tells him he will have to travel to the night and place of where the world changed. Yuki gives him a.. gun, telling him to shoot it at the one who altered space-time. And that person is..
Yuki. It is also explained that she doesn't even understand why she chose to do this. Rather, it was an error that she, as a robot cannot explain.
Yuki proceeds by waving her hand in the air (This is serious business, mind you.) as she's doing some powerful space-time alteration. At this point I think Yuki can do anything.
Around this time, Kyon delves deep into his mind and asks himself, "Why did you want to return?" "Just what is so fun about getting bossed around by Haruhi, doing silly things and wasting your time?" To this he says that it's fun, that's why! He really does enjoy doing this stuff deep down, eh?
What Kyon means by "fun".
Kyon stomping on himself.
Meanwhile, he thinks about Yuki's decision, and how she's also grown to slowly develop her own emotions. Yuki being emotionless made her stronger than the rest of them and meaning that she was the one Kyon always relied on. He explains that Yuki was probably driven to the point where she wanted to change the world because of this.
I thought that maybe, seeing Kyon's displeasure at all the things they did, maybe he would be happier if Haruhi wasn't part of his life, and he wasn't always hanging around supernatural people, is what Yuki thought...Lol

Cosmic Yuki! |
Kyon has a short chat with the normal Yuki before taking his gun out and pointing it right at her face. Kyon why're you so rude? :P~ All of a sudden...
Extra pics for this part because it's intense and it's my favourite part of the whole movie. This scene is so scary..
Asakura wins the yandere of the year award and Kyon is about to die.
After this point, Kyon loses conciousness and sees HIMSELF. (Time goes crazy!!) Who probably carries on the duty of fixing time.
Kyon wakes up to find himself in the hospital with Itsuki. It seems like he was unconcious for the 3 days that he was in the altered universe. Itsuki explains that he fell down the stairs, and that Haruhi saw a girl's figure, perhaps pushing him down the stairs. So THIS is where the other Kyon was, hm?
Caterpillar-Haruhi waited all those 3 days while Kyon was unconcious. What a good friend :).
Kyon wonders to himself the question here ^. And decides that there's no point in wondering something like that, after all so much has happened and everyone helped him out to get where he was now. He also thinks to himself, why, him of all of the SOS club would be held back in time like that? To that he answers that Yuki wanted him to be the decision maker. Yuki appears at that moment and she explains that even if he stayed there, in the alternate universe, his memory of the other world would be wiped out.
At this point it starts snowing (Yuki means snow), and we see some peaceful symbolism going on here.
:)
Back to the regular world in their class, with the end of term and report cards too! Yay.
Yay for Haruhi! Kyon wonders how their Christmas party will go.
Lol as Kyon speaks to some students outside the class.
After the credits shows a nonchalant Yuki at the public library as she watches 2 kids create a library card. This actually fits in the story very well but I can't bring it in at this moment. DEAL WITH IT.
This wasn't really a movie review, rather.. Me explaining the whole movie. I'm so bad at this. Anyways, for this movie, I give it a..
10/10
I'm giving out a full 10 because I'm generous and there's nothing else I can say about this movie. The story paced very well, the movie production was also well done, there was nothing I could say to improve this movie.. It had it's fair share of comedic moments, WTF moments, little details that were really worth giving praising, and a nice amount of explanation for the ones that were pissed at the Suzumiya Haruhi movie always being too random. We thank Yuki for that. Her words are too big for a lot of us to understand though ):. Also that I've made this movie seem worse than it actually appears. But now that I've made this giant post I don't have any intentions of not posting it ._. .
Have a nice New Year's Eve guys.
